About the job
05.08.2020
With the "Solar Power for Imboden" campaign, we have realised over 80 photovoltaic systems in the supply area together with regional partners.
84 systems with a total of 4,600 m2 of solar cell area and 848 kWp capacity. This is the pleasing result of the unique "Solar Power for Imboden" campaign. To promote the expansion of photovoltaic systems in our own supply area, we offered solar systems last year under unique special conditions. The system could either be purchased or leased. In the latter case, we provide the pre-financing, while the owner still benefits from their own solar power from the first kilowatt-hour produced and can thus save on electricity costs. "With the many new systems, the Imboden region is virtually becoming a solar city," says Christian Capaul, Managing Director of Rhiienergie AG. Because in the rhiienergie area, over 10 million kWh of solar power are produced annually. This amount corresponds to a solar power production of 12%, which is well above the Swiss average of 4%. Capaul sees this pleasing development as a valuable contribution to the energy transition and continues: "We are pleased to promote the production of renewable energy together with our customers and thus be able to set a sign." The campaign, which was carried out in cooperation with the municipalities of Domat/Ems, Rhäzüns, Bonaduz, Felsberg and Tamins, apparently meets the needs of the population, as we were literally overwhelmed by our customers. The interest in the campaign was so great that the installation partners were fully booked, "which on the one hand led to delays in execution, but at the same time brought great joy in being able to offer so many orders to regional installation companies and thus actively create an attractive value chain," says Daniel Eggenberger, Project Manager Renewable Energies at rhiienergie. The cooperation with the highly qualified partners solpic, hassler energia, Meli Gebäudehüllen, Dachbau Frei, Elektro Züger and Kibernetik also worked perfectly.
We stand behind our lease model to ensure that the PV systems also function perfectly. We monitor the system and if something does not work, the system is repaired at our expense. By the way, we also offered this service for purchased systems.
The "Solar Power for Imboden" campaign is completed, but not our plan to realise many more systems. There is also great joy that municipalities such as Rhäzüns and Felsberg support the expansion of PV systems in their own villages with financial contributions. The population of Imboden can always rely on rhiienergie as a strong implementation partner. For over 10 years, we have been realising photovoltaic systems of all sizes. Reference projects include the recently commissioned largest PV system in the canton of Graubünden, located in the former Calinis quarry in Felsberg. Furthermore, there is the world’s first solar system along a noise protection wall, the PV system on the A 13. Other systems are located on the roofs of Heineken and Gebr. Kuoni Transport AG. "Solar city" keeps growing and growing…
