About the job
Chemical Laboratory Technician 80 - 90%The Natural Science Institute of the three cantonal schools Rämibühl is jointly operated by the Realgymnasium, the Literary Gymnasium, and the Mathematical Natural Science Gymnasium. The attractive school facility is centrally located near the universities of Zurich. It is attended by over 2000 pupils. From summer 2027, school operations will continue for four years on the Irchel campus.
An immediate or agreed start date, a position as Chemical Laboratory Technician 80 – 90% is to be filled to support the chemical institute.
Your tasks
- Preparation and re-establishment of experiments and practical tests for chemistry lessons
- Maintenance of an extensive chemical collection
- Cleaning, maintenance, and simple repairs of laboratory equipment
- You coordinate the incoming orders together with a second chemical laboratory technician, independently clarify the need for replacement and consumable materials, and organise their purchase
Your profile
- Completed training as a laboratory technician EFZ specialising in chemistry or equivalent qualification
- Experience working in a laboratory
- Open and communicative personality with a high service orientation
- Used to working both in a team and independently
- Enjoyment and interest in the further development of the work area
- Proficient in the use of common MS Office applications
