For the Radioanalytics Decommissioning group in the Radiation Protection and Safety Department, we are looking for an
Your Tasks
- Analytical-chemical processing of samples from decommissioning for the analysis of radionuclides, especially actinides, activation, and fission products
- Taking responsibility for method development and application of an inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry (ICP QQQ MS) for elemental analysis and the analysis of long-lived radionuclides
- Conducting inorganic-chemical analyses using prior extraction and ion chromatography over appropriate resins
- Leading and coordinating projects with internal and external clients, especially in the context of decommissioning
- Conducting training and further education in radioanalytics, especially in the newly introduced methods and processes within an accredited framework
- Creating quality management documents, reports for clients, and scientific publications
- Presenting new scientific findings at national and international conferences
Your Profile
- You have a completed university degree in Analytical Chemistry, Radiochemistry, or Radioecology with a doctorate
- You have several years of practical experience in instrumental chemical analysis of heavy metals in trace amounts (focus on ICP MS)
- Extensive practical experience with the analysis of radionuclides, especially actinides, is a great advantage
- You have experience in handling and maintaining analytical instruments
- Work experience in an accredited laboratory and basic QM and GLP knowledge is a plus
- You have a very good and stylistically confident command of the German language and good English skills
