Tasks:
- independently manage activities in the "drinking water" sector within the cantonal laboratory inspectorate (e.g. conduct inspections of aqueducts and drinking water production plants, plan and carry out sampling, monitor their assigned area and proactively collaborate with superiors in defining activities, draft official reports, provide administrative follow-up to all official activities carried out)
- operate applying the requirements of the ISO17020 standard
- perform administrative activities (e.g. draft inspection reports on-site, manage the paper and electronic archive, prepare statistics and activity reports, provide information to users who approach the counters or through phone contacts)
- perform other specific tasks at the request of a superior (e.g. collaborate with other offices of the cantonal administration and external partners, assist in the scientific training of new colleagues, intervene outside of office hours in case of emergencies)
Requirements:
- bachelor + master or bachelor in food sciences, natural sciences, engineering (civil, process...), architecture or similar subjects
- good knowledge in the aqueduct sector and in the management of internal plants (distribution and production plants for drinking and sanitary water)
- good knowledge of the SVGW sector guidelines (water)
- proficiency in the Italian language (written and spoken) and good written and spoken knowledge of a second official language (preferably German)
- obligation to obtain the federal diploma for official control of foodstuffs in a short time
- good knowledge of MS-Office software and a positive attitude towards IT in general
- personality and presence suitable for contact with the public and institutional partners
- aptitude for outdoor work with travel also on foot and in the mountains
- ability to work independently and capacity to work in a team
- type B driving license
- availability for interventions outside of office hours in case of emergencies
Special notes:
- start date is February 1, 2026
- mandatory training is planned for obtaining the federal diploma for official control of foodstuffs. The training lasts at least 3 months but usually a maximum of 12 months, after which, without obtaining the diploma, the employment relationship will be terminated
- the employment relationship (appointment art. 15 LORD) will be converted into a nomination upon obtaining the diploma
- the position of Scientific Collaborator I (class 10) can only be assigned to candidates with complete academic qualifications (Bachelor + Master 270/300 ECTS credits) and who have at least 15 years of professional experience in the required field
- the position of Scientific Collaborator II (class 9) will be assigned to candidates with only a bachelor or a short degree or to candidates with less than 15 years of professional experience in the required field and in possession of complete academic qualifications (Bachelor + Master 270/300 ECTS credits)
- the position of Technical Collaborator (class 9) will be assigned to candidates with only a Bachelor

Employment conditions:
- appointment or assignment: those provided by the Law on the organization of state employees and teachers of March 15, 1995 (LORD) and the related Regulation. Any changes in law concerning salary and organization remain explicitly reserved
- working hours: 42 hours per week (for a 100% employment relationship), flexible or according to service needs
