Public Health Office | 80% | Chur
The Public Health Office is a central service of the Department of Justice, Security and Health of the Canton of Graubünden. It implements the directives of federal and cantonal law and thus makes a substantial contribution to high-quality, safe and future-proof healthcare at the cantonal level.
The office is divided into the following specialist areas: authorisations and supervision of professions and institutions in the health sector, cantonal medical service, control of medicines and narcotics, finance and controlling, health promotion and prevention, as well as the emergency medical call centre of Graubünden.
From January 2027, the section for care of the elderly and long-term care patients will implement the payment of care subsidies established within the framework of the partial revision of the law on patient care.
The office is divided into the following specialist areas: authorisations and supervision of professions and institutions in the health sector, cantonal medical service, control of medicines and narcotics, finance and controlling, health promotion and prevention, as well as the emergency medical call centre of Graubünden.

Tasks
- Advising applicants, persons in need of care and recognised services in the area of recognition subsidies for care
- Responsibility for the entire application process, from receipt, examination and processing of applications and eligibility requirements to payment in collaboration with internal and external services
- Maintaining electronic files
What we expect from you
- Diploma in social work, care, medical assistance or equivalent training
- Several years of professional experience in the social, care, counselling sector or a similar field
- You enjoy interacting with reference persons providing assistance, beneficiaries and service providers, as well as handling the verification of framework conditions and are ready to contribute with us to the creation and further development of this role
- You are proficient with MS Office and M365 programmes and use common applications confidently and efficiently; you also have experience with specific digital applications
- You communicate confidently in German, both orally and in writing
- Good knowledge of several cantonal languages is an advantage
