Project Manager Agricultural Structural Improvements (Civil Engineering)

The Office for Agriculture and Geoinformation is a department of the Department of Economic Affairs and Social Affairs. It includes the four divisions of Agricultural Measures, Structural Improvements, Surveying, and the GIS Competence Center.
The Structural Improvements division makes a significant contribution to the sustainable development of rural areas. Its diverse range of tasks includes, in addition to agricultural building construction and housing promotion, civil engineering measures as well as projects for regional development. The employees in the civil engineering sector accompany overall land improvements, farm road renewals, alpine water and electricity supplies, material cableways, and restorations of infrastructure facilities after natural events. They supervise their correct execution, act as the central point of contact for cantonal and federal specialist offices, advisors for clients and engineering offices, and are the first contact for procedural legal questions.

For the civil engineering sector, we are looking for a Project Manager Agricultural Civil Engineering starting February 1, 2026, or by agreement.
Your area of responsibility
- Supervision of civil engineering projects in technical, administrative, and financial respects
- Support for clients and planning offices
- Assessment and further processing of project ideas and funding applications
- Evaluation of cantonal consultations and misuse of land (deputy)
- Participation in national and cantonal working groups and organizations for the further development of funding instruments
- Participation in the implementation of the ALG digitalization strategy is very welcome
What we expect from you
- University or university of applied sciences degree in geomatics, construction, environment, agronomy, or a comparable field
- Strong communication skills and confident appearance
- Structured, solution-oriented, and conceptual thinking and working style
- Service orientation, team spirit, commitment, initiative, and an open attitude towards new tasks
- Very good German skills, additional cantonal languages, especially Italian, are an advantage
