School Social Worker Primary School Stallikon (fixed-term until the end of 2026) 70%Well prepared for life – that is our motto. The Office for Youth and Career Counselling Canton Zurich, branch office of the districts Affoltern, Dietikon, Horgen, operates a regional school social work office. On behalf of schools, it is responsible for the personnel, professional and administrative management of school social workers. To ensure low-threshold school social work, the workplaces are located in the individual school communities.
For the primary school Stallikon, we are looking for a school social worker for a temporary replacement starting 1 August 2026. The assignment is expected to last until the end of December 2026. Afterwards, there is the possibility of a permanent position.
You will advise and support children, parents and teachers in educational and social matters. You are familiar with child protection and child welfare. In crises and conflicts, you conduct interventions in classes and groups. You work with the school team and other specialist agencies.
For this role, we require a completed degree in Social Work at university of applied sciences level (Bachelor) and several years of professional experience in school social work or in the socio-educational field with children and adolescents. You have skills in counselling, prevention, crisis intervention and project work as well as an independent and interdisciplinary working style.
We offer you a varied, interesting and independent activity with annual working hours (compensation for school holiday time through increased workload during school terms). You will receive support from a professional and collegial SSA team and from the responsible regional management in the Affoltern district. The employment conditions correspond to the cantonal guidelines.
