Administrator in the State Archive
Office for Culture, State Archive | 50% | Chur
The State Archive of Graubünden, as a department of the Office for Culture, is responsible for securing and continuing the historical legacy of the canton. It supports and promotes the use of the existing, rich archival material spanning around 800 years by historically oriented research and the interested public. Additionally, the State Archive serves legal certainty and advises the cantonal administration on record keeping and information management.
We are looking for a committed, versatile, and responsible individual for our administration at the State Archive of Graubünden starting October 1, 2026, or by agreement.
- Developing the annual budget in collaboration with the State Archivist
- Monitoring budget guidelines, managing the creditor workflow (KWF), and invoicing
- Administrative support in human resources
- Administrative support for archive supervision and commissions and foundations assigned to the State Archive
- General support for the management and the team of the State Archive
- Organizing and supervising events, assisting with public relations
- Supporting the team in procuring materials, equipment, and furniture
- Commercial training (KV, business school, or vocational baccalaureate) with good knowledge in finance and human resources as well as several years of professional experience
- Strong organizational skills, reliable and independent working style, assertiveness, and ability to work in a team
- Proficient use of MS Office and various specialized applications (business management CMI GEVER, MS-Dynamics financial software, CMI-AIS archive information system)
- Interest in the history and culture of Graubünden, confident German language skills, and good knowledge of several cantonal languages are an advantage.
