WHAT YOU DO
- Responsible for the engineering and management of the company-wide PostgreSQL database infrastructures.
- Ensure stable operation of the databases and their applications together with cross-departmental teams.
- Design, install, operate, and maintain highly available PostgreSQL database systems.
- Responsible for the support of our databases, conducting analyses and troubleshooting.
- Take over the lifecycle management of the databases and be a sparring partner in the creation of the IT architecture.
- Continuous development and maintenance of existing and new Microsoft PostgreSQL databases.
- Provide technical support and advice in application development with databases.
- Plan and execute database migrations.
- Actively work on various cross-departmental IT projects.
- On-call duty is part of the employment contract!
WHAT YOU BRING
- You have experience in highly available PostgreSQL environments.
- The shell scripting language does not worry you, and you are familiar with automation.
- You are motivated to contribute your knowledge, optimize processes, and successfully implement projects.
- You enjoy continuously expanding your knowledge and are open to new things.
- You have completed vocational training and/or higher education in the field of computer science or a comparable qualification.
- Career changers with relevant experience are warmly welcome.
- You have good knowledge of PostgreSQL Server (including clusters).
- You have experience with cloud and container technology.
- Very good German skills are essential, English skills are desirable.
