Head of Secretariat
Office for Nature and Environment | 90–100 % | Chur
The Office for Nature and Environment implements federal laws on water protection, environmental protection as well as nature and landscape conservation. Our tasks include checking the compliance of projects with environmental law, inspecting facilities, granting subsidies, issuing permits, as well as environmental monitoring and environmental education. We also coordinate the implementation of the climate and biodiversity strategy.
About 60 specialists work at the Office for Nature and Environment. The secretariat team consists of four people and is responsible for the administration of the entire office.
For the Office for Nature and Environment, we are looking for a head of secretariat from 1 October 2026 or by agreement.
- You lead the secretariat and ensure the efficient and impeccable execution of daily activities.
- You coordinate the distribution of work within the team, set task priorities and ensure compliance with defined processes.
- You are the first point of contact for the secretariat team as well as for the office staff regarding questions and assignments related to the secretariat.
- You further develop procedures within the secretariat, document processes and ensure their continuous optimisation.
- You take on varied administrative tasks such as telephone and postal service, managing the central mailbox and registering documents in case management.
- You check texts and coordinate the dispatch of government decrees and departmental decisions.
- As a CMI power user, you support the further development of case management and participate in projects.
- You collaborate on digital transformation and other projects.
- You have completed commercial training and have several years of professional experience.
- You have already managed a secretariat or have leadership experience.
- You have a quality-oriented approach and are a motivated person with initiative and assertiveness.
- You are very perceptive and enjoy performing diverse tasks related to various topics.
- You are willing to contribute to constantly evolving processes within the framework of digital transformation.
- You have good IT skills and openness towards the office's internal systems.
- You enjoy working in a team and are willing to carry out your tasks flexibly and service-oriented.
- You have excellent command of German, both spoken and written. Good knowledge of several cantonal languages is an advantage.
