Business Analyst (m/f)
Workload: 80-100%
Start: by arrangement
Duration: permanent
Workplace: Urdorf
Main tasks
- Process analysis & design: You analyse, model, and optimise our business processes end-to-end and design new, seamless workflows along the value chain.
- Service Design: You design customer-oriented services – from the user journey through touchpoints to the underlying processes, roles, and responsibilities.
- Requirements management: You gather, clarify, and consolidate professional requirements with stakeholders from business areas, sales, and IT and translate them into testable artefacts (use cases, user stories with acceptance criteria, process and domain models).
- Bridge Business ↔ IT: You are the central interface between business areas, project management, architecture, and development, ensuring a shared understanding on all sides.
- Solution support: You accompany solutions from conception through implementation to introduction – including support with testing, acceptance, and change management – and ensure the professional benefit.
Requirements
- Several years of professional experience (at least 5 years) as a business analyst or in a comparable role at the interface between business and IT
- Completed university degree (business informatics, business administration, industrial engineering) or equivalent education and training
- Sound understanding of business contexts and the ability to quickly familiarise yourself with new professional domains
- Confident handling of process modelling methods (e.g. BPMN 2.0), process analysis, and process optimisation
- Practical experience in service design methods (user journeys, service blueprints, personas, design thinking)
- Very good knowledge in requirements engineering (user stories, use cases, functional and non-functional requirements, acceptance criteria)
- Solid technical understanding (system architectures, interfaces/APIs, data models) to be able to discuss on equal terms with development and architecture – without having to develop yourself
- Experience in agile and classical approaches (Scrum, Kanban, hybrid approaches); certifications (e.g. IREB CPRE, IIBA CBAP) are an advantage
- Analytical, structured, and conceptual working style combined with pragmatic solution orientation
- Strong communication and moderation skills – you bring business and IT together in one room to achieve viable results
- Fluent in at least two languages: German and English or German and French. Knowledge of a third language is a great plus
Further information
- A central role with high visibility and direct influence on the further development of our processes and systems
- Close collaboration with project management – as a complementary role in the same team, you shape change together
- Exciting and professionally challenging topics in a phase of transformation and modernisation
- A motivated, collegial team with short decision-making paths and an open feedback culture
- Lots of scope to develop structures further and contribute your own ideas
What we offer
- 40-hour week
- 25 days holiday
- Modern office facilities
- Working from home possible
- Private accident insurance
- Opportunities for further training
