Head of Security Unit (80 - 100 %)
The Department of Security and Environment includes the areas of City Police, Protection & Intervention, Registration and Civil Status, Environmental and Health Protection, as well as the City Magistrate. The Security Unit is subordinate to the Environmental and Health Protection division management. It is responsible for operational and occupational safety within the Winterthur city administration and deals with organisational, technical, and professional safety issues.Your Tasks
We offer you a responsible leadership role with scope for shaping the further development of operational safety within the Winterthur city administration. You actively shape the security organisation of the city administration and make an important contribution to the safety of employees. You will work in an exciting environment at the interface of occupational safety, emergency management, and administration, bringing practical safety solutions into a professionally diverse organisation.- Management of the Security Unit and personnel leadership of a small team of specialists
- Further development and implementation of the Operational Safety concept
- Responsibility for the emergency and incident management of the Winterthur city administration
- Organisation and delivery of safety training for employees and managers
- Maintenance of technical security systems (e.g. access controls, alarm and locking systems)
Your Profile
- Further training in occupational safety and health protection (ASGS) is an advantage
- Several years of professional experience in occupational safety, health protection, and operational safety, ideally in a public administration or a comparable organisation
- Several years of leadership experience as well as experience in cross-departmental collaboration
- High sense of responsibility, reliability, and good communication skills
- Very good German language skills, both spoken and written
