Your tasks
In a team of 5 people, you will further develop our open-source applications "Leihs" (loan and inventory system) and "Madek" (media archive of the arts). In close collaboration with the product teams, you will design, plan, and implement new features and contribute to the continuous optimisation of the existing solution. You will work largely independently on features while benefiting from regular professional exchange within the team. Mutual code reviews ensure code quality and promote continuous knowledge sharing within the team.

Your profile
You have solid knowledge and several years of experience in frontend development. Ideally, you already have experience with functional programming or want to develop further in this area. You are already familiar with our technology stack or are motivated to learn it. It includes:
- React, Tailwind and Bootstrap
- Clojure and ClojureScript
- Multi-service architecture with REST and GraphQL
- DevOps with Ansible as well as Continuous Integration (CI)
- PostgreSQL, Debian web server
- Ruby on Rails (legacy technology, partially being replaced)
- Automated tests with Cucumber and RSpec
You want to familiarise yourself technically and content-wise with our products and actively participate in finding solutions. In addition, you use AI tools purposefully in development – from the effective formulation of prompts through checking the generated code to assessing the architecture. Good German skills are required for collaboration within the team. We are looking for an experienced, proactive personality with high quality standards and a quick grasp, who enjoys working in a team and taking responsibility.
