What is my role?

You set up thermoforming machines and convert them according to the production order, reference samples, and parameter folders. In doing so, you identify, analyse, and resolve malfunctions during ongoing operations. You train, instruct, and support production staff at the machines. Your tasks also include sampling new tools as well as preparing and performing tool changes including correct documentation. You manage stamping knives (ordering, return, tracking), obtain approvals, and grant approvals for external orders. Furthermore, you check the development specifications using checklists, report deviations, errors, and improvement suggestions to the team leader, perform general workshop tasks, and provide occasional support to logistics as needed.

What do I need to be successful?

You have a mechanical or technical basic education (e.g. production mechanic, polymechanic) as well as professional experience as a setter, ideally in thermoforming or blister production. Experience in cleanroom and GMP environments (medical technology advantageous) as well as a basic understanding of quality systems (ISO 13485, documentation requirements) are important. You are confident with Microsoft Windows and Office 365 and hold a category B driving licence. You are characterised by a high quality and responsibility awareness and work independently, structured, and precisely. Technical understanding and strong problem-solving skills are among your strengths. You are a team player, communicative, and eager to learn. Flexibility as well as willingness to work shifts and overtime are expected. You remain resilient even under time and production pressure.
