As a professor, you are responsible for the (further) development of a research program around nursing in acute care; ideally, you will continue a research portfolio. You confidently pass on your knowledge in teaching and also have an interest in public relations.
Your tasks include:
- Development and implementation of an independent research focus in the field of nursing science, with a focus on Clinical Nursing (research in the acute sector) and Implementation Science
- Acquisition of third-party funding for research projects, including the development and submission of applications to research funding institutions (e.g., Swiss National Fund, Innosuisse, EU funding programs) as well as to industry and business partners
- Active participation in the execution and publication of research projects, with a particular focus on quantitative research and its application in nursing practice
- Support and participation in internal and external knowledge transfer as well as interdisciplinary collaboration within the university and beyond
- Teaching in the Bachelor’s and Master’s programs as well as in continuing education (approx. 25%), including the development and application of innovative teaching methods
- Promotion (PhD) in nursing science, with proven experience in quantitative research
- Extensive experience in the field of quantitative nursing research in the acute sector, ideally with experience in the application of Implementation Science approaches. Your work is documented by publications in international journals
- Proven experience in acquiring third-party funding and/or active participation in funded research projects
- Interest in the further development of nursing science, nursing practice, and the role of nursing through innovative research approaches and the development of evidence-based solutions
- Experience in teaching and enjoyment of working with students at various educational levels
- Openness to interdisciplinary collaboration as well as the ability to build and maintain networks within and outside the university
- Very good organizational and communication skills as well as a high degree of initiative and team spirit.
You navigate skillfully in the tension between various stakeholders, have fluent German and very good English skills; additional languages such as French or Italian are an advantage. Proven networking within and good knowledge of the Swiss healthcare system as well as good national and international networking are desired.
