The IV Office of the Canton of Bern is undergoing change and is focusing on a modern corporate and leadership culture. The Service Centre is the service hub of the IV Office Bern and ensures that processes, services and benefits are delivered efficiently, uniformly and with high quality.
With the newly created Service Centre Branches team, we bring together around twelve employees from the Biel, Burgdorf and Thun locations in a joint, cross-location team. As team leader, you actively shape this transformation. You create connections across locations, develop your employees and align the regional needs with the common direction of the Service Centre. You are regularly present at all three branches as well as at the headquarters in Bern. For this versatile role, we are looking for a bilingual (D/F) leadership personality who drives change with commitment.
What you can achieve with us
- You lead and develop a team of around twelve employees at the Biel, Burgdorf and Thun locations and create closeness and commitment through your regular presence on site.
- You develop a shared team understanding and promote trusting collaboration between the different locations and the other teams of the Service Centre.
- You design deployment, holiday and absence planning according to needs and ensure flexible resource utilisation.
- You take up the needs of the branches and coordinate service delivery with the branch managements.
- Together with the team leaders Back Office, Front Office as well as In- and Output, you ensure that professional requirements and quality standards are implemented uniformly.
- You promote standardised working methods and the interoperability of employees so that tasks can be taken on flexibly and across locations.
- As a member of the Service Centre management team, you actively contribute to the further development of processes, services and organisational structures.
Which skills are important to us
- You have a commercial basic education and ideally a higher professional qualification, for example as a management specialist with a federal certificate or as a certified business economist HF.
- You bring at least three years of leadership experience and have already led a cross-location or decentralised team.
- You lead clearly, appreciatively and reliably and know how to specifically promote, coach and empower employees.
- You are characterised by pronounced planning and organisational skills as well as experience in resource and deployment planning.
- You have experience in process management or organisational development and want to further develop working methods together with those involved.
- You can absorb, classify and translate different interests and needs into viable solutions.
- Experience in customer service, back office or a comparable service organisation is an advantage.
- You communicate confidently and appropriately for the target audience. Very good German skills as well as French skills at least at level B2 are required.
- Regular personal exchange with your team is an important part of good leadership for you. Therefore, you are willing to be present weekly at the Biel, Burgdorf and Thun branches and to travel between the locations.
