About the job
The Special Needs Education Centre Hagendorn specialises in the education and care of children and young people with cognitive and/or multiple impairments.
For our three-year school programme (Secondary Level II), which offers individualised settings for young people from 15 years old with support needs, we are seeking a teacher or a school special needs educator for a fixed-term temporary position from 1 October 2026 to 31 July 2027. There is the possibility of transitioning to a permanent contract from summer 2027.
Your Tasks
- Delivering high-quality teaching in line with the curriculum
- Creating a diverse educational offer that enables optimal social and individual development, focusing on career and employment choices as well as preparation for adult life
- Ensuring, evaluating and adapting support measures in consultation with involved staff and parents
- Parental engagement
- Interdisciplinary collaboration within the team and with specialists
- Taking on delegated administrative, organisational and content-related tasks for the learning group
- Participation in school development projects and/or quality assurance processes
Your Profile
- Completed studies in School Special Needs Education or willingness to commence such studies
- Experience teaching children and young people with cognitive impairments or motivation to acquire this experience
- Resilient and innovative personality
- Interest in actively shaping the education of the future!
