Summary of responsibilities:
Reporting to the 1st Maître d’Hôtel or the Manager of La Palmeraie, the essential responsibilities and functions of the position include, but are not limited to:
- Consistently provide professional, friendly, and engaging service
- Participate in the setup, service, and clearing of banquet/breakfast rooms
- Be responsible to your superior for the tasks assigned
- Treat all customers with respect and courtesy
- Serve customers according to their expectations
- Ensure customers lack nothing
- Actively participate in cleaning tasks within your department
- Stay informed about events in the hotel and participate in briefings before events
- Strive to perfect your technical and theoretical knowledge to ensure perfect service for a demanding clientele
- Learn LQA technical and emotional standards and apply them
- Participate in an evaluation interview with your superior once during the internship
- Maintain excellent contact with your colleagues
- Commit to the quality of your service, discretion, and perfect honesty
- Maintain a professional attitude, be smiling, and remain calm at all times
- Be flexible and cooperative in all circumstances, especially if required to work occasionally in another department
- Respect ergonomic work standards in health & safety rules, hygiene, and sanitary requirements
- Respect the policies, procedures, and service standards of the department and company
- Any other tasks as assigned
Qualifications
- Internship as part of hotel training
- Mastery of the French language
- Excellent knowledge of the English language
- Knowledge of a third language is an asset
- Ability to work in a team
- Flexibility and initiative
- Ability to manage multiple requests simultaneously and handle last-minute changes

To work in Switzerland, the candidate must possess a Swiss work permit or be from an EU-17 or EU-8 European country.
