Summary of responsibilities:

Reporting to the 1st Maître d’Hôtel or the Manager of La Palmeraie, the essential responsibilities and functions of the position include, but are not limited to:

• Consistently provide professional, friendly, and engaging service
• Participate in the setup, service, and clearing of banquet/breakfast rooms
• Be responsible to your superior for the tasks assigned
• Treat all customers with respect and courtesy
• Serve customers according to their expectations
• Ensure customers lack nothing
• Actively participate in cleaning tasks within your department
• Stay informed about events in the hotel and participate in briefings before events
• Strive to perfect your technical and theoretical knowledge to ensure perfect service for a demanding clientele
• Learn LQA technical and emotional standards and apply them
• Participate in an evaluation interview with your superior once during the internship
• Maintain excellent contact with your colleagues
• Commit to the quality of your service, discretion, and perfect honesty
• Maintain a professional attitude, be smiling, and remain calm at all times
• Be flexible and cooperative in all circumstances, especially if required to work occasionally in another department
• Respect ergonomic work standards in health & safety rules, hygiene, and sanitary requirements
• Respect the policies, procedures, and service standards of the department and company
• Any other tasks as assigned

Qualifications

• Internship as part of hotel training
• Mastery of the French language
• Excellent knowledge of the English language
• Knowledge of a third language is an asset
• Ability to work in a team
• Flexibility and initiative
• Ability to manage multiple requests simultaneously and handle last-minute changes

• Constant: standing and walking throughout the work period

To work in Switzerland, the candidate must possess a Swiss work permit or be from an EU-17 or EU-8 European country.
