Nurse for the Mobile Team of Psychiatry of Advanced Age (SUPAA West)
The Mobile Team of Psychiatry of Advanced Age of the University Service of Psychiatry of Advanced Age (SUPAA) is looking for a nurse at an 80% activity rate, on a permanent contract. The starting date is scheduled for 1 November 2026.
Context
The Lausanne University Hospital (CHUV) is one of the 5 Swiss university hospitals. Thanks to its collaboration with the Faculty of Biology and Medicine of the University of Lausanne and EPFL, CHUV plays a leading role in medical care, medical research and education.
The University Service of Psychiatry of Advanced Age (SUPAA) ensures care, teaching and research missions in the field of psychiatry of the elderly, in close collaboration with partners in the canton’s health network.
Based at the Nyon polyclinic, the Mobile Team of Psychiatry of Advanced Age (EMPAA) intervenes directly in the living environment of patients, at home or in nursing homes. It offers specialised assessments and follow-ups to support people aged 65 and over with psychiatric disorders, promoting home care whenever possible.
Mission
- You provide preventive, curative, palliative and educational nursing care to people over 65 with psychiatric and somatic disorders
- You carry out nursing clinical assessments and follow-ups in the living environment (home or nursing home), in collaboration with network professionals
- You participate in the analysis of clinical situations and contribute to the initiation or restoration of psychiatric care
- You support relatives and ensure the quality of reception, information and support provided to them
- You intervene at the request of attending physicians or care teams of partner institutions and contribute to knowledge sharing with the various network actors.
Profile
- You hold a Bachelor’s degree in nursing or an equivalent qualification recognised by the Swiss Red Cross
- You have professional experience in a multidisciplinary team, ideally in psychiatry or psychiatry of advanced age
- You demonstrate autonomy, proactivity and flexibility in your practice
- You possess good analytical and adaptation skills and know how to manage psychiatric or somatic emergency situations calmly and professionally
- You are fluent in French and comfortable with common IT tools
- You appreciate network work and interprofessional collaboration to provide comprehensive patient care.
