About the job
Community Health and Care Assistant (ASSC) M/F 80%-100%
The Riviera-Chablais Hospital, Vaud-Valais (HRC), is an inter-cantonal reference hospital, bringing together more than 2,000 collaborators. The Rennaz Hospital Centre has more than 350 acute care beds. It is complemented by two Geriatric and Rehabilitation Clinics as well as two medical on-call services. All collaborators invest daily to provide quality care to patients, embodying the institution's values: authenticity, exemplary conduct and innovation.
Its Geriatrics and Rehabilitation Service (SGR) offers its services on 3 sites, namely:
- The Riviera Geriatrics and Rehabilitation Clinic (CGR) in Vevey (Providence site)
- The Chablais Geriatrics and Rehabilitation Clinic (CGR) in Monthey
- The Rennaz site.
The CGRs' mission is primarily geriatric rehabilitation, as well as acute care for seniors. At Rennaz, these are hospital Geriatrics consultations (CGH).
A close collaboration with the HRC allows our patients to benefit from its technical platform and state-of-the-art equipment.
Under the supervision of a medical-nursing duo, you will work in close partnership with the patient and their relatives, while emphasising interdisciplinary collaboration.
The Geriatrics and Rehabilitation Service is seeking ASSCs holding an ASSC Federal VET Diploma for its 2 Clinics in Vevey and Monthey, from September and October 2026.
The main duties of this position are
- Organise, perform, monitor and document care services and medical-technical acts delegated by the nurse and authorised by the ASSC status, in stable situations with no emergency character
- Contribute to the smooth running of the service's activities
- Promote the interdisciplinary approach to care and the team work specific to the service's mission
- Promote, by delegation, the involvement of the patient in their care plan as well as that of their relatives
We require
- Imperatively a Federal VET Diploma as community health and care assistant
- A motivated person to care for seniors according to best practices in Geriatrics and Rehabilitation
- A rigorous, organised and dynamic person, with excellent communication skills
- An interest in working in an interdisciplinary team
- Adaptability to change and commitment to the service's project
- Proficiency in French and hospital-specific IT tools
We offer
The HRC offers excellent employment and career development opportunities across all its fields of activity: medical, nursing, medical-technical, hospitality, administrative, technical, logistics. With a commitment to continuous improvement, skills development is at the heart of HRC's concerns. The institution offers its collaborators access to training both internally and externally.
In 2021, the HRC was twice ranked among the best employers in French-speaking Switzerland by Bilan magazine and the Le Temps newspaper, placing it as a leading institution.
