Group Head of Logistics 80 – 100% (m/f/d)

• Further development of the group-wide logistics organisation including definition and implementation of the group-wide logistics strategy as well as harmonisation of locations
• Management of the international logistics organisation with technical leadership of the site managers as well as disciplinary leadership of directly reporting employees
• Optimisation of group-wide material, information and goods flows along the supply chain
• Responsibility for optimal inventory management taking into account service level, capital commitment and delivery capability
• Responsibility for global trade management including customs, export control, import/export processes as well as continuous optimisation of international goods flows
• Management of external logistics service providers as well as building and maintaining strategic partnerships
• Further development of digital logistics systems (ERP, WMS, transport management) as well as standardisation of logistics master data and processes
• Ensuring effective group-wide communication within the logistics organisation
• Leading strategic cross-departmental projects such as warehouse consolidations, ERP/WMS implementations and digitalisation initiatives
• Close collaboration with internal and external interfaces

• Completed commercial or technical training and further education with a focus on logistics/SCM
• Proven professional and leadership experience within an international matrix organisation in an industrial environment
• Very good knowledge of international transport management as well as import/export processing
• Sound knowledge of customs law, foreign trade law and international trade processes
• Very good knowledge of ERP systems and warehouse management software and hardware
• High affinity for digitalisation and process optimisation
• Experience in international change management
• Strong communication and assertiveness skills
• Proactive type, implements visions and goals together with the team
• Fluent German and English skills
• Intercultural competence and willingness to travel
