The Grants Office St.Gallen is part of the Vice-Rectorate for Research & Faculty and supports researchers at the University of St.Gallen (HSG), the University of Teacher Education St.Gallen (PHSG) and the Eastern Switzerland University of Applied Sciences (OST). We accompany researchers throughout the entire project cycle: We assist in finding suitable funding instruments, in the preparation and submission of applications, as well as in the administration of awarded research funds.

• Advising researchers from HSG, OST and PHSG on the selection of suitable funding instruments (Swiss National Science Foundation SNSF, Innosuisse, EU, departmental research, research-promoting foundations) and in the preparation of funding applications to national, European and international funding institutions. Actively informing researchers about funding opportunities also within the framework of topic-specific events.
• Supporting research projects throughout the entire project life cycle (application, contract preparation, reporting, etc.).
• Proactively identifying and approaching HSG, OST and PHSG researchers or research groups with potential for specific applications.
• Communication of HSG research/science communication: e.g. creation and maintenance of various media products such as newsletters, website (internal and external), reports, etc.

• Successfully completed university degree; a doctorate is an advantage
• At least two years of solid professional experience in the relevant field
• Proven experience in independently conducting research projects
• Initial project experience as well as basic knowledge in fundraising and application preparation
• Very good German and English skills (level C1) spoken and written
