Amcor Flexibles Rorschach AG, Goldach is a company of Amcor Limited, one of the world's largest suppliers of responsible packaging solutions. With around 300 employees, we refine aluminum foils and other materials into recyclable packaging. Due to a succession plan, we are looking for an independent and reliable Food Safety Specialist (m/f/d) to ensure that our food packaging is safe and compliant for our customers.

Your main tasks

• You ensure the compliance of our products with food contact legislation
• Ensuring the hygiene requirements of customers for our facilities, processes, products, as well as performing tasks for hygienic production as deputy hygiene officer
• Responding to internal inquiries and customer inquiries regarding food safety & food law
• Planning, conducting, and following up on food safety audits
• Evaluating and approving existing and new specifications in direct food contact as well as drafting declarations of conformity for customers
• Proactively observing and monitoring new needs, requirements, and market trends in the field of food safety & food law
• Administrative maintenance and review of supplier confirmations/certificates regarding food law & food safety information and completing as needed with suppliers

Your profile

• You are committed to the safety of our food packaging and have a university degree in the fields of chemistry or food and packaging technology
• You have solid theoretical and practical knowledge of food packaging regulations
• You have professional experience in food safety and quality management (FSSC 22000, ISO 9001), in food law, as well as in auditing food safety
• You are able to set priorities and possess the highest quality and responsibility awareness
• You communicate confidently and clearly in English and German, enjoy approaching other people, and like direct contact with various stakeholders
