About the job
Wädenswil is an attractive city on the left shore of Lake Zurich with about 26,000 inhabitants. Around 380 employees work in the city administration, providing comprehensive services to the population daily.
The Civil Engineering Department belongs to the Planning and Construction Division and is responsible for the operational and structural maintenance of wastewater systems, roads, and cemeteries. It is also the supervisory authority for water protection and private settlement drainage.
For this interesting environment, we are looking for a
Your areas of responsibility include
- Issuing sewer and discharge permits
- Providing statements in the building permit process in the area of property and construction site drainage
- Advising contractors, property owners, and planners on technical questions in the field
- Responsibility for construction inspections and approvals on construction sites
- Ensuring the operational and structural maintenance of public wastewater systems
- Monitoring and coordinating rehabilitation perimeters of private property drainage systems
- Coordinating and carrying out civil engineering projects as client representation and overall project management in the area of settlement drainage and roads
What you bring
- Technical basic training in the construction sector, preferably with further education as a property drainage specialist (VSA) or willingness to acquire this
- Further education as a civil engineering technician, sanitary planner, or equivalent further education
- Affinity for the use of digital tools
- Confident written and oral expression in German
- Strong organizational skills as well as project management knowledge
- Possession of a category B driving license
