In anticipation of the retirement of the current post holder, the Medical Directorate of the Fribourg hospital is looking for a
Chief Physician of the Radiology Department
80-100%
Your mission:
- Ensure the leadership and development of the Radiology Department
- Collaborate with the outpatient and inpatient services of the HFR that refer patients
- Supervise and participate in the training of senior consultants, assistant doctors in training including those rotating within the Department, and medical candidates
- Participate in the teaching of medical students (Bachelor and Master) at the University of Fribourg and other radiology teaching missions with the Fribourg outpatient network
Your profile:
- Hold an ISFM specialist title in radiology (or considered equivalent)
- Have extensive clinical experience covering all aspects of radiology with a subspecialisation
- Hold a university title (at least Privat-docent) or be on track to obtain it quickly
- Research experience and management of research funds is desirable
- Fluency in French or German with good knowledge of the other language (minimum level B2)
- Proven leadership, management and guidance experience as a senior physician in a university or significant regional hospital; management training would be an advantage
- Solid teaching experience at pre- and postgraduate levels
- Excellent communication, integration and collaboration skills within an interprofessional team, as well as with other HFR professionals and practising doctors
- Communicative and committed personality

- You contribute to the teaching of medical students (Bachelor and Master level) at the University of Fribourg.
Profile
- SIWF specialist title in Radiology or equivalent qualification
- Comprehensive clinical experience covering all areas of radiology, with subspecialisation
- Academic title (at least Privatdozent/in) or in the process of obtaining it promptly
- Experience in research and management of research funds is an advantage
- German or French with excellent knowledge of the other language (min. level B2)
- Proven leadership and management experience in a senior medical position in a university hospital or a significant regional hospital, management training is an advantage
- Extensive teaching experience in undergraduate and postgraduate education
- Excellent communication skills, teamwork and ability to integrate into an interprofessional team and collaborate with other HFR professionals as well as with practising doctors
