Job Description
Context
As part of the development of its digital marketing and data consulting activities, Talan Switzerland is strengthening its team with a confirmed digital marketing expert, capable of managing topics independently and actively engaging in building recommendations.
You will work operationally and proactively on varied projects for clients from diverse sectors (banking, watchmaking, public service, retail…), as well as on pre-sales phases.
This is a reference expert role, focused on the quality of deliverables, business impact and relevance of recommendations, without managerial responsibility, but with a high level of individual accountability.
Responsibilities
Client consulting and support
- Independently analyse clients’ business, marketing and digital contexts. Conduct comprehensive audits of existing systems (websites, apps, landing pages, conversion funnels…). Identify growth levers, friction points and action priorities, with a solution-oriented approach
- Build multichannel recommendations aligned with business objectives. Produce and structure high value-added consulting deliverables: audits, framing notes, roadmaps, recommendations
- Present, defend and explain recommendations to clients with a consulting and support approach
Tracking & performance
- Audit and analyse existing tracking implementations (GA4, Google Tag Manager, other Analytics tools). Identify gaps, inconsistencies and opportunities to improve measurement plans. Use data to analyse marketing system performance and UX orientation.
- Produce clear and actionable summaries based on data
- Collaborate with data, UX and technical teams, being proactive on measurement and analysis topics
Paid media
- Audit existing Google Ads accounts. Analyse campaign structures, targeting, messages and KPIs
- Formulate optimisation and evolution recommendations for paid systems.
- Contribute to defining media plans and budget priorities
- Manage and optimise campaigns (Awareness, Lead Generation, e-commerce), ad hoc or ongoing
- Integrate AI features of media platforms into strategies and recommendations
- Collaborate with Art Directors and UI Designers to create engaging and effective assets
SEO & Content (in collaboration)
- Contribute to SEO/GEO audits (technical, semantic, content) and identify optimisation levers, in collaboration with the SEO lead
- Participate in defining SEO recommendations and content strategy aligned with business and acquisition objectives
- Use data (Search Console, SEO tools) to analyse performance and formulate actionable recommendations
Qualifications
Key skills
- Cross-functional and strategic vision of digital marketing channels and strategies
- Confirmed expertise in tracking and paid media, with advanced mastery of GA4 and Google Ads
- Solid understanding of SEO and content challenges (knowledge of Semrush appreciated)
- Strong interest in data and AI applications in marketing
- UX/design sensitivity and user experience-oriented culture
Experience and attitude
- Minimum 5 years of experience in digital marketing, ideally in agency or consulting firm
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, independently
- Proactive, results-oriented profile, able to take initiatives, drive projects forward and be a team driver
- Excellent interpersonal skills, clear communication and ease in client presentations
- Ability to work in a team with diverse profiles (marketing, UX, data, tech, consulting)
Curiosity and mindset
- Curious, constantly monitoring digital evolutions, tools and uses
- Strong taste for experimentation, continuous improvement and innovation
- Personal projects, side projects or hybrid career paths highly appreciated
Languages
- Very good command of English (written and spoken)
- Knowledge of German is an asset
