According to the cantonal service contract, the psychiatry department of Emmental Hospital is responsible for the care of the Emmental region (150,000 inhabitants) with locations in Burgdorf and Langnau.
To complement our team in the Clinic for Geriatric Psychiatry, we are looking for a
Senior Physician / Senior Physician Geriatric Psychiatric Outpatient Clinic & Consultation Service (a) 80–100%
Your tasks within team-oriented processes
- Conducting the geriatric psychiatric consultation hours at the general hospital Langnau
- Geriatric psychiatric consultation service on the somatic wards of the hospital
- Participation in the Memory Clinic (diagnostics, case discussions, interdisciplinary clarifications)
- If interested: involvement in the special consultation hours for ADHD and ASD in adulthood
- Development and expansion of the regional outreach care structure
- Interprofessional collaboration with nursing, therapies, and somatic specialties
- Participation in the integrated psychiatric emergency service
Your profile
- Specialist title in psychiatry and psychotherapy or near completion
- Interest in geriatric psychiatry and somato-psychic interactions
- Ideally first experience in geriatric psychiatry; consultation psychiatric experience welcome
- Enjoyment of interdisciplinary collaboration and the further development of modern care offerings
- Confident appearance as well as a clear, structured, and team-oriented working style
