As a member of the Social Services of the Psychiatric Services Thurgau, you are a valuable addition to the multiprofessional treatment teams, consisting of doctors, psychologists, nursing professionals and specialist therapists.


You will take on

• Assessment of the current social situation of the patients and definition of social problem areas in collaboration with the multiprofessional team and those affected
• Advice and support for patients and their relatives on work, finances and housing issues as well as social insurance matters
• Maintaining contacts with authorities and follow-up care institutions
• Participation in discharge management and organisation of post-inpatient care and/or new forms of housing
• Participation in multiprofessional reports, team meetings and supervisions
• Coordination of social work tasks involving the entire patient environment and the multiprofessional team

You bring with you

• Flexibility, independence, resilience and ability to work in a team
• A completed education as a Social Worker FH
• Professional experience in a psychiatric or medical context is an advantage
• Knowledge of the Swiss social system
• Basic understanding, empathy and communication skills in dealing with mentally ill people
