Intern Inventory Management
The cantonal monument preservation records, protects and maintains the architectural heritage of the Canton of Zurich. The Inventory and Documentation department has an internship position available from September 2026 for a duration of one year. The internship takes place within the framework of the project to revise the inventory of monument protection objects of supra-local significance.
Your tasks
Under the guidance of the project managers, you describe and assess buildings in their historical and architectural context. The focus is on the architecture of the
20th century. You research in archives, evaluate the existing documentation, visit the objects on site and write inventory sheets. Maintaining our object and image databases is part of your duties as well as scientific and editorial text work. Finally, you support us in public relations and gain insights into various administrative processes.

Your profile
If you hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in art, architecture or general history and have an interest in working in monument preservation, we look forward to receiving your application.
