Secondary School Teacher mbA for Piano approx. 70%The Kantonsschule Zürcher Oberland (KZO) in Wetzikon is a vibrant school that values an open culture, joint commitment, and an inspiring learning environment. It currently offers a lower gymnasium level (9th/10th school year) and all Zurich Matura profiles in 59 classes. With around 1300 students, 200 teachers, and 40 staff members in administration and operations, KZO is one of the large gymnasiums in the canton.
A rich musical life takes place at KZO, which we want to continue to nurture. We are now looking for a Secondary School Teacher mbA for Piano (approx. 70%) starting in the spring semester 2027. According to the Zurich middle and vocational school teacher regulation, this is a permanent position "with special tasks" (mbA).
What we expect:
- You have a master's degree in music education or a teaching diploma for piano or an equivalent diploma for teaching at gymnasium-level Matura schools according to MAR.
- You have obtained a Master in Music Performance or Specialized Music Performance or a concert or soloist diploma for piano (or are close to completing it).
- You are motivated to teach all competency levels of students (beginners to advanced) and are willing to be present at KZO 3-4 days per week.
- You are a versatile and committed musician and bring skills in various music styles as well as broad professional experience.
- You have teaching experience at the gymnasium level and want to engage at our school, which includes organizing student concerts, accompanying at concerts, supervising Matura theses, and participating in school commissions.
