Job Description

CONTEXT OF THE POSITION

The Geneva University Neurocenter coordinates interdisciplinary neuroscience activities at the University of Geneva and promotes interactions between the faculties of medicine, science and psychology, and educational sciences.

Within this framework, it ensures the coordination of the interdisciplinary University Master in Neurosciences, an internationally oriented master-level programme focused on research and developed in collaboration with several faculties and numerous research laboratories.

The Neurocenter also develops scientific communication activities, research valorisation, and organises several events each year aimed at the scientific community, students, and the general public.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

- Participation in the student recruitment process, analysing application files for submission to the selection committee;

- Supporting students throughout their course by advising them on their academic path and ensuring the administrative follow-up of their training;

- Coordinating the study programme in collaboration with stakeholders at the faculty/partner entity level and central services.

- Contributing to the development of the programme (e.g. improving teaching, updating regulations, etc.);

- Contributing to the strategic management of the programme, developing new academic initiatives, and maintaining interactions between the different faculties involved in close collaboration with the management.

- Responsible for the main events of the Neurocenter and the Master, including welcome days, Neuroscience Masters' Day, and the graduation ceremony.

- Responsible for the institutional communication of the Geneva University Neurocenter,

- Representing the management of the Geneva University Neurocenter by delegation.

- Contributing to strategic reflections concerning the evolution of the programme and the development of the Neurocenter's activities.

Required Title and Skills

- University Master’s degree, ideally in neuroscience, biology, psychology, life sciences, or a related field.

- Proven experience in coordinating academic programmes, project management, or university administration is a significant asset.

- Excellent organisational, analytical, and coordination skills.

- Sense of priorities and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

- Ability to work independently while developing collaborations.

- Excellent interpersonal skills.

- Ability to listen, advise, and guide.

- Very good writing and communication skills.

- Proficiency in French and English (B2), spoken and written.

- Very good command of common IT tools and digital communication tools.
