About the job
The Natural Science Institute of the three Rämibühl Cantonal Schools is jointly operated by the Realgymnasium, the Literary Gymnasium, and the Mathematical Natural Science Gymnasium. The attractive school facility is centrally located near the Zurich universities. It is attended by over 2000 pupils. From summer 2027, school operations will continue for four years on the Irchel campus.
With immediate effect or by arrangement, a position as Chemical Laboratory Technician 80 – 90% is to be filled to support the chemical institute.
Your tasks
- Preparation and re-establishment of experiments and practical tests for chemistry lessons
- Maintenance of an extensive chemical collection
- Cleaning, maintenance, and simple repairs of laboratory equipment
- You coordinate the incoming orders together with a second chemical laboratory technician, independently clarify the need for replacement and consumable materials, and organise their purchase
Your profile
- Completed training as a laboratory technician EFZ specialising in chemistry or equivalent qualification
- Experience working in a laboratory
- Open and communicative personality with a strong service orientation
- Accustomed to working both in a team and independently
- Enjoyment and interest in further developing the field of work
- Proficient in the use of common MS Office applications
