It includes two hospital sites located in Moutier and Saint-Imier, nine Medicentres, including the one in Biel. Its care offering is complemented by an ambulance network, two nursing homes, two radiology institutes, a centre for physical and cognitive therapies, as well as a home hospitalisation service.

For our Mental Health Pole department, we are looking for the following profile: Depending on organisational needs, you may also be required to occasionally work at our other sites.

Job Description

• Your main objective is to ensure the smooth running of the mental health service across several sites in the region, carrying out various outpatient mandates such as the primary one of general child and adolescent psychiatry, developing an intervention project within a day hospital, and coordinating within the Perinatal network.
• You conduct thorough clinical assessments of our young patients, including interviews with their parents or guardians and care network.
• Conducting precise and detailed clinical investigations will help refine diagnostic questions and establish a clear indication and a treatment plan that is precise and measurable in terms of quality and sustainability.
• You develop and ensure the implementation of personalised treatment plans for your own patients and also supervise their proper application in cases where therapies are provided by frontline colleagues (doctors and psychologists in training) for whom you will assume responsibility.
• You are responsible for providing individual, family, or co-parenting therapy as well as possibly group therapies to children and adolescents, depending on the projects to be developed and patient needs.
• You work closely with other mental health professionals, ensuring careful and quality multidisciplinary collaboration while respecting each mandate and role.
• You participate in various interdisciplinary meetings (Child and Adolescent Psychiatry network, Perinatal network, internal Child and Adolescent Psychiatry conferences, joint meetings with Adult Psychiatry where applicable…) and maintain and document patient records accurately and conscientiously.

Qualifications

• You hold a medical degree recognised in Switzerland (MEBEKO) and the specialist title (FMH or equivalent) in child and adolescent psychiatry. You have proficiency in French (minimum level C1).
• You have clinical experience in a university setting, which is desirable.
• Holding a CAS would be an additional advantage (Perinatal, Forensic or other…)

Work rate: 100% (part-time possible upon discussion)
