Intern at the Nature Conservation Office
The Nature Conservation Office is the authority responsible for nature conservation and biodiversity in the Canton of Zurich within the Office for Landscape and Nature of the Building Department. The staff are committed to the preservation of valuable habitats and work to ensure that the coexistence of humans and nature functions in the economically active Canton of Zurich. To support our team, we are looking for an intern from 1 October 2026, limited to six months.
Your tasks
- Collaboration in various areas of nature conservation (e.g. species protection, habitat enhancements, area maintenance, protection designations and construction project assessments)
- Independent handling of projects (e.g. guidelines, protection measures, management plans and public relations)
- Participation in meetings and inspections with municipalities, farmers and authorities
- Drafting statements and orders on projects
- Support of administrative tasks in the secretariat

- Completed studies, preferably in biology or environmental natural sciences
