The Hospital Network Appenzell Ausserrhoden, with the acute hospital Herisau and the Psychiatric Centre AR in Herisau, ensures extended basic medical care for the population in the canton of Appenzell Ausserrhoden and is also the first point of contact for a large part of the population in the surrounding region. Both locations are relevant for care within the canton and beyond.

We are looking for

In the MTTB department under the leadership of Ms Jana Schmid, we are looking immediately or by arrangement for a qualified nurse to work 60-80% in endoscopy.

Attractive tasks

• Assistance in performing endoscopies and punctures, including all medical interventions in close cooperation with the respective specialist (gastroenterology, pneumology, urology, internal medicine)
• Monitoring, accompanying and caring for patients before, during and after the examination
• Correct reprocessing of devices, instruments and examination rooms according to the specified hygiene standards
• Timely, responsible, friendly and seamless flow of information to all stakeholders
• Accurate service recording and statistics management as well as electronic documentation of the services provided

Therefore, we want you

• You have completed training as a qualified nurse HF, or you are a health and nursing professional with Swiss recognition
• Alternatively, you have completed training as a Medical Practice Assistant EFZ
• Professional experience in endoscopy is desirable but not mandatory
• Confident German language skills, both spoken and written
• Team-oriented and appreciative attitude
