Business Area Manager – Wealth Management Solutions
At swissQuant, we power Private Banks, Independent Asset Managers, and Family Offices with best-in-class investment advisory and portfolio management solutions, built on advanced risk and optimization engines.
We're looking for an entrepreneurial, commercially driven Business Area Manager to lead and grow our Wealth Management Solutions business, owning strategy, revenue, and team development while staying hands-on with key clients and deals.
What you'll do
Strategic and Revenue Leadership
- Take full accountability for overall division performance, driving revenue expansion across both new business acquisition and strategic client relationships.
- Define, execute, and evolve the comprehensive GTM strategy for target tier-1 client segments across Wealth Management and Private Banking.
- Direct pricing strategies, enterprise deal structures, complex commercial negotiations, and high-level revenue forecasting.
Growth
- Lead end-to-end sales cycles, from prospecting through RfI/RfP processes to closing.
- Act as a primary executive contact and trusted advisor for C-level stakeholders, board members, and decision-makers across partner institutions.
- Develop and deliver compelling client pitches and product demos, in both German and English.
Organizational and People Leadership
- Coach and develop the Sales & Relationship Manager, and grow a scalable, high-performing commercial organization.
- Partner closely with Executive Leadership, Engineering, and Quantitative Product teams to align business goals with resource allocation and delivery.
Product, Market & Innovation Alignment
- Develop a strong understanding of swissQuant's investment advisory and portfolio management solutions: risk models, optimization capabilities, APIs, data, and integrations.
- Translate client and market requirements into clear priorities for product and solution development.
- Stay close to developments in wealth management, capital markets, financial technology, AI, and digital investment solutions, and bring that perspective into client conversations and product direction.
What you bring
- 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in FinTech, SaaS, or capital markets technology, in revenue leadership, enterprise sales, or client success roles.
- A proven track record of owning and delivering revenue targets.
- Deep domain exposure to private banks, clearing houses, market infrastructure providers, family offices, and institutional wealth managers.
- Solid understanding of wealth management workflows, quantitative risk models, optimization engines, enterprise APIs, and modern data architecture.
- Ability to bridge business and technology - comfortable discussing risk, APIs, data, integrations, and SaaS architecture.
- A solid grasp and curiosity of how AI is reshaping wealth management and financial technology, and the ability to speak to it credibly with clients and internal product teams.
- Advanced capabilities in deal structuring, conflict resolution, and steering multi-stakeholder enterprise negotiations to win-win closures.
- Native or full professional fluency in both German and English.
Why you'll like it here
You'll have real ownership, setting direction and staying close to execution, in a fast-moving, entrepreneurial environment where quantitative technology meets client impact. If you're commercially sharp, curious about financial markets and technology, and energized by building something, we'd love to talk.
