The heavy traffic control centers Unterrealta/San Vittore along the N13 contribute significantly to traffic safety on this central north-south axis. On behalf of the Federal Roads Office (USTRA), the Cantonal Police of Graubünden carries out technical inspections of heavy traffic and enforces the corresponding regulations.
To strengthen our team, we are looking for a technical collaborator heavy traffic control, starting on a date to be agreed upon.
- Independent execution of technical inspections of heavy vehicles (traffic safety, legal regulations, technical manipulations)
- Inspection of load securing, weights, exhaust and AdBlue systems as well as other safety-relevant elements
- Implementation of the provisions of the ordinance on working and rest times (OLR1/OLR2) and conducting OLR operational checks
- Sanctioning of detected violations and preparation of documentation usable in judicial proceedings
- Specialist support for territorial police and participation in training and professional development
- Completed vocational training in vehicle technology (e.g., automotive diagnostic mechanic for heavy commercial vehicles, automotive mechatronics AFC for commercial vehicles, or agricultural machinery mechanic AFC) or equivalent technical training
- Practical experience in technical error analysis (use of diagnostic tools POBD/TEXA) or willingness to attend professional development courses in these diagnostic technologies
- Knowledge of Swiss road traffic law (OLR1/OLR2) or willingness to learn it
- Driving license C/E, reliability, strong sense of responsibility, and high safety awareness
- Excellent spoken and written German skills, solid IT knowledge
- Ability to handle stressful situations, teamwork skills, flexibility for irregular working hours
- Good knowledge of several cantonal languages and English is an advantage
