Company Description
The Official Youth Foundation (FOJ) aims to promote the psycho-social development of children, adolescents, and young people in difficulty, in collaboration with parents and partner institutions. Bound by a service contract with the State of Geneva, the FOJ is committed to the protection and defense of the interests of the child.
Serving families in the canton, it works through four main areas of action: child assistance , emergency reception , family support , and preparation for autonomy .
To fulfill its mission, the institution manages 47 structures across the Canton of Geneva, has more than 500 places for minors and young adults, and also offers outpatient educational services at home. The FOJ is composed of 670 employees.
To successfully carry out its mission, the FOJ is looking for a cook for its structure the home L'Odyssée , an emergency reception place for babies and very young children.
Job Description
Preparation of meals from Monday to Friday, lunch and dinner, and meals to be reheated on weekends for children from birth to 5 years old, as well as for the educational team.
Management of orders and stocks.
Manage a "family" kitchen without professional equipment.
Collaboration with a multidisciplinary team.
Work only from Monday to Friday.
Activity rate: 80%
Start date: June 1, 2026
Contract type: Fixed-term contract until the end of December 2026
Class: 9 or 11 according to the salary scale of the State of Geneva

Qualifications
Cook CFC – recognition by SEFRI for foreign diplomas.
Previous experience in collective catering for early childhood or as a cook in a nursery is an asset.
Mastery of hygiene standards and kitchen safety rules.
Flexible and able to adapt quickly to diverse populations.
Ability to work independently, initiative, and very good interpersonal skills.
Know how to prepare balanced, varied meals with fresh and seasonal products as well as purees for the youngest.
Ability to adapt to dietary constraints (diets, allergies, etc.).
