Development Engineer in Refrigeration Engineering with Leadership Potential

For our client based in Kallnach, we are looking, as soon as possible, for a development engineer in refrigeration engineering with leadership potential.

Your profile:

• Technical design and cost calculation for large-scale individual heat pump installations.

• Technological development and modularization of standardized or custom refrigeration machines, including the integration of new refrigerants in accordance with the Ordinance on the Reduction of Risks Related to Chemical Products.

• Coordination with the commercial, purchasing, assembly, and maintenance departments within a decentralized network covering the three linguistic regions of Switzerland.

• Preparation of manufacturing orders in collaboration with the development team and production management; project management and coordination with suppliers.

• Development of test procedures for quality assurance.

• Management of PED (DGRL) certification in accordance with the current directive on pressure equipment for individual refrigeration machines.

• Technical design regarding safety and drafting of documentation in compliance with applicable requirements at the installation site.

• Technical support for existing refrigeration installations, aimed at maintenance technicians and clients.

• Deputy personnel management and optimization of work processes.

Your mindset and background:

• Relevant higher education (MSc / HF) in refrigeration engineering, thermal machines, or HVAC.

• Experience in assessing the conformity of components and installations according to the pressure equipment directive: an advantage.

• Solution and service orientation towards colleagues and clients.

• Experience in management or strong leadership potential (team < 10 people).

• Structured working method, with rigorous documentation and traceability of decisions and data.

• Ability to prioritize effectively and communicate clearly to ensure optimal coordination.

• Positive and pragmatic attitude towards new processes, technologies, and tools supporting the company’s organic growth.

• Fluency in French and German; English is a plus.
