The company PQM Consulting AG, based in Pfäffikon SZ, is a renowned IT company specialising in quality assurance and quality management. The company offers its clients professional support in optimising their quality requirements and divides its core competencies into four main components: project/risk management, quality management, requirements management, and process management.For an external client project in the greater Zurich area, we are looking for an experienced, competent individual for the role of Business Analyst at expert level (from 8-12 years) from 01.09.2026
Main tasks:
- Analysis of current software-related processes (e.g. demand notification, procurement, deployment, usage, maintenance, termination/retirement) and identification of gaps from a SAM perspective.
- Design and modelling of a targeted Software Asset Management along the entire software lifecycle, including roles, responsibilities, control points, and interfaces (e.g. IT, purchasing, finance, security, compliance).
- Collection, coordination, and documentation of functional and technical requirements for a future SAM tool (e.g. license management, inventory, contract management, reporting) – including prioritisation of minimum requirements (MVP).
- Design of the integration of the SAM tool into the existing system landscape (such as ITSM system or SAP Ariba) as well as definition of data requirements, interfaces, and quality requirements.
- Preparation of decision-making bases (business case, target image), technical concepts, and training materials as well as support for tool selection and initial implementation steps.
Requirements (content, methodology, technology):
- Several years of experience as a Business Engineer in an agile environment (preferably SAFe), ideally with a focus on Software Asset Management, license management, or IT financial management.
- Strong ability to moderate different stakeholders (business, IT, architecture, purchasing, finance, risk, management), prepare decisions, and communicate and document complex matters clearly, appropriately for the audience, and comprehensibly.
- Solid experience in building or further developing Software Asset Management or license management, including designing end-to-end processes; experience with SAM tools (e.g. Flexera, ServiceNow SAM, Snow, USU or comparable solutions) is a plus.
- High analytical and conceptual strength combined with pragmatism: You think in terms of benefit, impact, risk, and cost, question assumptions, and set priorities.
- German: C1 – proficient language use
- English: C1 – proficient language use – Advanced (CAE)
