About the job
Not every radiologist knows immediately after obtaining their specialist title which direction their career should take - and that is perfectly fine.
This senior radiologist position offers you the opportunity to deepen the entire spectrum of diagnostic radiology while gradually developing your personal specialisation. You do not have to decide today - you can shape your path together with an experienced team.
This established radiology department is part of a modern acute hospital with a broad diagnostic and interventional range of services. You will become part of an experienced team with a chief physician, several senior consultants, around eight senior radiologists, and a few assistant doctors. This allows you to benefit from close professional exchange, short decision-making paths, and individual induction.
The institute covers the entire spectrum of diagnostic radiology, from conventional radiology through CT, MRI, and ultrasound to mammography. The offering is complemented by interventional procedures and close collaboration with diagnostic neuroradiology. Additionally, several external practices are supported, providing you with a varied range of examinations and diverse clinical questions.
Your responsibilities:
- Independent reporting of CT, MRI, X-ray, and ultrasound examinations
- Care of outpatient and inpatient patients
- Interdisciplinary collaboration with clinical departments as well as presentation of findings at meetings and tumour boards
- Participation in the training of assistant doctors
- Opportunity to gradually develop a radiological subspecialisation according to your own interests
Your qualifications:
- Specialist title in radiology (FMH or MEBEKO recognised) or near completion
- Interest in a broad diagnostic activity and motivation to develop professionally
- Independent, structured, and quality-conscious working style
- Enjoyment of interdisciplinary collaboration and training of assistant doctors
- High social competence, team spirit, and respectful interaction with patients and colleagues
- Very good German language skills
Your benefits:
- Ideal senior radiologist position shortly after obtaining the specialist title
- Broad diagnostic spectrum without early commitment to a subspecialisation
- Targeted induction and support for your professional development
- Collegial and experienced radiology team with close professional exchange
- Modern infrastructure and varied daily work
- No traditional night shifts - late and teleradiology duties only until about 10 pm
