About the job
The EOC, the multisite hospital of Ticino, is present with its institutes throughout the entire cantonal territory for a total of 1,000 beds. The organization effectively combines a local approach with an overall vision, guaranteeing the population a comprehensive and nearby hospital offer, regardless of where the services are requested.
Thanks to the commitment and competence of over 6,500 collaborators and their attention to human relations, the EOC ensures quality healthcare by caring for over 41,000 inpatients annually and providing over 600,000 outpatient consultations.
To complete our Occupational Medicine Service team, we are looking for a
Head Physician Occupational Medicine (100%)
The person we are looking for has professional experience and autonomy in the field of general internal medicine and ideally occupational medicine. They also possess strong motivation, initiative, and a spirit of collaboration and believe, as we do, in the importance of protecting the health of EOC collaborators. They are oriented towards identifying and managing risks related to clinical, industrial, and work activities in general.

Necessary requirements:
- alternatively (or preferably in addition): federal specialization title in Occupational Medicine according to articles 20 and 21 of the Federal Law on University Medical Professions (LPMed). For foreign titles, MEBEKO recognition is required before starting the activity
- a good knowledge of the healthcare system and social insurance system in Switzerland
- skills in performing workplace risk analyses, occupational medical examinations, and preventive tests in compliance with legal standards or willingness to acquire them
- ability to ensure compliance with legal requirements and standards regarding workplace safety and health protection
- good interpersonal and teamwork skills, as well as a propensity to collaborate with other health and safety-oriented services present in the company
- proficiency in Italian (required level at least B2) with registration to MedReg before starting the activity. Good knowledge of another national language (French, German) and English is also desirable
