You will work in a human-scale environment conducive to innovation, interdisciplinary exchanges, and patient-centered local care.
- In Saint-Imier, you will work in a mixed unit of 10 beds dedicated to acute geriatrics and geriatric rehabilitation, as well as within the EMS Les Fontenayes which has 44 beds.
- In Moutier, your activity may extend to the EMS Résidence Beausite, which has 92 beds.
This position offers a varied practice, combining hospital and outpatient activities, and a flexible workload according to your profile and wishes. It is also aimed at an internist physician wishing to apply their expertise to geriatrics and enrich their career in a rapidly developing specialty. The geriatrics service is evolving: your commitment and ideas will be welcome to support this dynamic.
Job Description
In your role, you actively participate in the care of patients in acute geriatrics and rehabilitation. You ensure the continuity of care as well as medical rounds both in inpatient settings and within the nursing homes (EMS).
You take part in interdisciplinary meetings, collaborating with the various teams of the Network.
You supervise assistant physicians and work closely with nursing teams to guarantee optimal patient care.
Depending on your experience, you also have the possibility to conduct outpatient geriatric consultations.
In collaboration with the chief physician, you contribute to the management of the service, which you may be called upon to replace in case of absence.
Finally, you are a source of proposals and actively involved in the development of new services and the implementation of innovative projects.
Qualifications
- Medical degree recognized in Switzerland (MEBEKO) – an application in progress is possible.
- FMH in geriatrics or equivalent title. Experienced and motivated generalist or internist physicians interested in geriatrics are also welcome.
- Proficiency in French (C1 desired, B2 accepted depending on profile).
- Experience in hospital geriatrics and motivation to deepen the discipline.
- Team spirit, autonomy, flexibility, and ease in an interdisciplinary context.
- Availability to work on one or two sites (Moutier and/or Saint-Imier).
- Organizational skills, versatility, and ability to evolve in a multidisciplinary network.
