Social Worker Adult Protection 60 - 80%The Office for Youth and Career Counselling of the Education Directorate provides, commissions, manages and coordinates services for child and youth welfare and career counselling. The Breitenstein Centre is part of the Office for Youth and Career Counselling and is supported and co-financed by the municipalities of the Andelfingen district.
The Breitenstein Centre provides social services in the areas of child and adult protection, personal assistance, counselling and prevention for the population of the Andelfingen district. The offer is aimed at families, young people, children as well as adults with special needs, social difficulties and/or addiction problems.

The Breitenstein Centre in Andelfingen is looking for an experienced and committed social worker for adult protection from 1 August 2026 or by arrangement. Together with your team, you will manage guardianships for adults for 22 municipalities in the Andelfingen district, which have been ordered by the KESB Winterthur-Andelfingen. The self-determination and personal responsibility of the clients are always paramount.
The following tasks await you:
- Management of mandates according to the KESB order, mostly including administration of income and assets
- Drafting applications and reports to authorities
- Representation in personal, legal and financial matters
- Actively shaping the further development of professional guardianship
We expect from you:
- Completed degree in Social Work FH
- Professional experience in adult protection or social welfare
- In-depth knowledge of private law, social insurance law and social welfare law
- Empathy towards people in difficult life situations
- Psychological resilience and flexibility as well as confident negotiation skills
