Job Description
Your Mission
To strengthen our team, we are looking for an experienced leader with profound knowledge in sustainability certifications and sustainable real estate development.
As Manager Sustainability Certifications & ESG, you are responsible for the professional and personnel leadership of our certification team and specifically develop its competencies further. Together with our interdisciplinary team of engineers, architects, and sustainability experts, you accompany demanding construction and real estate projects and support our clients in developing sustainable and future-proof solutions.
You combine professional excellence, leadership, and strategic consulting and work closely with clients, international planning teams, as well as experts from Durable and Wüest Partner. In doing so, you actively shape the further development of our sustainability certification business area and contribute to expanding our position as a leading consultancy for sustainable real estate.
Your Responsibilities
As Manager Sustainability Certifications & ESG, you take on the professional leadership of demanding projects and the further development of our certification team.
In particular, you assume the following tasks:
- You take on the professional and personnel leadership of the certification team and specifically develop its competencies further
- You develop suitable sustainability and certification strategies for building, site, and portfolio developments.
- You accompany projects through all service phases from early concept development to successful certification
- You lead interdisciplinary workshops and coordinate demanding stakeholder processes
- You lead interdisciplinary project teams and support them on the path to certification readiness
- You continuously develop processes, quality standards, and working methods and promote a high-quality culture within the team
- You coach employees and support their professional and personal development
- You work closely with experts from the areas of ESG, strategy, data analysis, and digitalisation at Wüest Partner
- You actively contribute your experience to the further development of our service portfolio and our sustainability certification business area
Qualifications
Your Profile
- University degree in architecture, engineering, environmental sciences, or comparable fields
- Several years of professional experience (ideally at least 5 years) in sustainable planning, certification consulting, or project development
- Profound experience with Swiss sustainability standards such as Minergie-ECO, SNBS, and SGNI
- Experience with international sustainability standards such as LEED, BREEAM, DGNB, or WELL is an advantage
- Accreditations such as LEED AP, BREEAM Assessor, DGNB Auditor, or comparable qualifications are an advantage
- Experience in the professional leadership of interdisciplinary project teams and direct client contact
- Very good knowledge of planning and construction processes across all service phases
- Strategic and analytical thinking combined with a strong implementation focus
- Leadership competence as well as enjoyment in developing teams and employees
- Entrepreneurial thinking and interest in the further development of services and client relationships
- High quality awareness, initiative, and sense of responsibility
- Very good German and English skills in spoken and written form, French skills are an advantage
