The Federal Institute of Metrology METAS is the reference institute for measurements and measuring instruments in Switzerland. To ensure that a litre is always a litre (e.g. when refuelling), METAS carries out calibrations, conformity assessments and consultations for business, research and administration. Measurement accuracy creates trust, especially at societal and political levels, and is essential in many areas: road traffic, electricity billing, time transmission, measurements in environmental and health sectors, etc. At METAS, various disciplines come together and complement each other – and this has been the case since 1862.
Your new challengeSecurity Analysis & Monitoring
- Monitoring of security events via SIEM and SOC tools
- Analysis and triage of security alerts and incident response
- Conducting vulnerability assessments and patch management
Creation of ISMS and ISDS documents
- Threat analyses, proactive threat hunting and SOAR
IT Network / On-Premise Infrastructure / Cloud
- Support for FW & switch administration and monitoring
- System hardening
- Security architecture
OT Security / Data Security Audit
- Support in the data security audit of smart meters
- Support in optimising audit processes
- Documentation of processes, systems, networks and security policies
- Training and raising awareness among employees as well as advising departments on information security issues
Your profile
- Completed vocational training as an IT specialist EFZ supplemented by appropriate further training (e.g. HF, IT security, etc.) and at least 3 years of professional experience in IT security and/or network administration and network analysis
- Sound knowledge of network technologies as well as basic programming skills in Python. Knowledge of SIEM systems, log analysis and incident response is an advantage
- Experience with firewall systems, IDS/IPS solutions, OT systems as well as understanding of IT security standards such as NIST CF, ISO 27001, BSI IT-Grundschutz, CIS Controls
- Responsible and reliable personality with team spirit and independent, structured working style
- You communicate confidently in one official language (German or French) and have good knowledge of a second official language, complemented by solid English skills
