About the job
Specialist Responsibility Nursing (m/f/d)
Area Gerontopsychiatry
Workload 80 – 100 %
Gerontopsychiatry requires more than nursing knowledge. It needs people who observe carefully, want to understand behaviour, can manage crises and approach challenging situations with respect, calmness and humour.
Do you want to help shape gerontopsychiatry professionally and support people with mental illnesses in old age in a professional manner? In autumn 2026, we will expand our existing gerontopsychiatry department at the new building on the Baden site and specifically extend care. You can expect a committed team where you actively contribute your expertise and experience, professionally support employees in the demanding everyday nursing routine and jointly promote quality and development. We look forward to meeting you.
The Regional Nursing Centre Baden is one of the largest providers of long-term care in Switzerland. We offer our residents of all ages specialised professional nursing and care in various areas of expertise. Our headquarters in Baden (AG) is currently being comprehensively modernised through new construction and renovations and supplemented with 86 new retirement apartments.
This is how you support us:
- You take on the professional leadership of the employees in the nursing department in consultation with the nursing department management and the nursing specialist.
- You accompany and support employees in complex gerontopsychiatric nursing situations.
- In collaboration with the nursing department management, you reflect on, review and plan appropriate and sustainable implementation strategies for the professional development of employees in the nursing department, such as consolidating the nursing process, implementing innovations, coaching employees, etc.
- You work closely with interdisciplinary specialists, doctors and relatives.
- You conduct regular case discussions and knowledge transfers in the nursing department.
- You are involved in direct nursing care.
This is how you convince us:
- You have completed training as a qualified nurse HF / FH or an equivalent recognised qualification.
- You have a CAS in the field of gerontopsychiatry or psychiatry.
- You have gained experience in professional leadership and have used it sustainably for the benefit of nursing teams.
- You enjoy passing on expertise and strengthening teams.
- You remain calm, reflective and confident in demanding situations.
- You bring humour, empathy and an appreciative attitude.
- You are interested in further development and modern nursing quality.
- You like to take responsibility and enjoy helping to shape new things.
- You demonstrate high social competence, are resilient, pragmatic and solution-oriented.
- You work independently and reflectively.
- You act professionally and are a role model.
This is how we inspire you:
- A versatile gerontopsychiatric department with people who bring their very own stories, needs and challenges.
- A team with heart, humour and mutual support.
- A working environment that thinks psychiatric nursing in old age holistically.
- Space for professional development, co-creation and new ideas.
- A culture where relationship building is more important than rigid processes.
- Close interprofessional collaboration.
And that’s not all! Discover many more attractive benefits on our career page in the areas of work-life balance, health promotion, wellness, discounts and future prospects.
What is important to us:
- We believe that people with mental illnesses in old age should be able to keep their own path, dignity and self-determination.
- That behaviour makes sense.
- And that good leadership in nursing begins where people feel seen, supported and taken seriously.
Sounds like your next step?
