Job Description
As a specialist for BPS/Lean and Industrial Engineering, you are responsible for advancing the BPS and Industrial Engineering maturity level in our plants.
- You work closely with the Value Stream Teams to systematically analyse value streams and drive the continuous improvement of production and value-adding processes according to Lean principles.
- In close cooperation with the Industrial Engineers in our plants, you develop the I.E. maturity level and competencies on site. You are also responsible for analysing and optimising production data to sustainably increase efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness.
Main tasks include:
- Implementation and further development of Lean methods (e.g. BPS, Kaizen, value stream mapping, 5S, standard work)
- Conducting Industrial Engineering analyses (time studies, layout planning, capacity and ergonomics analyses)
- Measuring, analysing, and visualising key figures to sustainably achieve targets
- Managing and implementing improvement projects in collaboration with production, engineering, and management
- Supporting change processes and actively promoting the Lean culture in the plant
- Training and coaching employees and managers in Lean and IE methods
- A willingness to travel of approximately 50% is required for this position
Qualifications
Education: A completed university degree (Bachelor or higher) in engineering, industrial engineering, or a comparable course of study; alternatively, a completed technical apprenticeship supplemented by solid business management knowledge.
Experience & Know-How: Comprehensive knowledge in BPS/Lean Management, Industrial Engineering, and production systems; confident application of methods such as process analysis, time management, and value stream design; experienced handling of KPIs and problem-solving methods (e.g. PDCA, A3); good user skills in MS Office and SAP, ideally also with analysis or planning tools.
Personality and Working Style: Analytical, structured, and solution-oriented thinking with strong implementation skills; ability to communicate complex matters clearly, combined with moderation and project management competence; communicative skills for target-group-appropriate and convincing communication at all organisational levels.
Languages: Very good German and English skills, both spoken and written.
