The Stiftung Leben im Alter Herisau is home to over 250 elderly people. At the three locations Heinrichsbad, Ebnet and Dreilinden, around 260 employees shape everyday life in our homes. They ensure a high quality of life for the residents and thus make a valuable contribution to society. It is important to us to offer employees a working environment in which they are satisfied and to which they always like to return.
At Haus Waldegg, we offer around 40 people with dementia a home tailored to their individual needs. The protected Waldegg residential group, spread over two floors, is structurally specially adapted to the needs of our residents and offers 1-3 bed rooms, as well as various living and common areas. Joint activities take place daily. In addition, the residential groups are visited by day guests on certain days.

We are looking immediately or by arrangement for an experienced, calm and empathetic personality with heart and understanding for residents with dementia as
Your demanding and varied tasks:
- You independently take on nursing and care tasks within your competencies and support the residents in the activities of daily living.
- In close cooperation with a nursing professional, you share the primary care, reliably pass on relevant observations within the team and carefully document your work in the care documentation.
- You lovingly, patiently and respectfully accompany the residents through everyday life, convey security, orientation, comfort and also face challenging and unpredictable situations with calm, understanding and empathy.
- You respond individually to the needs, habits and existing abilities of the residents and support them in maintaining their independence and self-determination.
- With your appreciative manner, you contribute to a familiar, family-like atmosphere and good teamwork.
Our requirements:
- You have completed the SRK Care Assistant course and ideally have experience in long-term care and/or in supporting residents with dementia.
- You have very good German language skills in spoken and written form and can communicate confidently in everyday life.
- Respectful and empathetic interaction with the residents is close to your heart and you bring patience, understanding and joy in relationship work.
- Even in demanding situations, you remain calm, act responsibly and respond to the individual needs of the residents.
- You work independently and reliably, are happy to be part of a team and contribute to a pleasant and trusting collaboration.
