For our client, a leading player in the Swiss watchmaking industry, we are looking for a Materials Project Manager M/F to strengthen their Research & Development - Materials & Technologies department.
Within a high-level innovation environment, you will participate in the development of new metallic materials aimed at enhancing the performance, functionality, and aesthetics of tomorrow's products.
You will contribute to strategic projects at the interface between scientific research, technological innovation, and industrialisation.
Your responsibilities
Within a high-level innovation environment, you will participate in the development of new metallic materials aimed at enhancing the performance, functionality, and aesthetics of tomorrow's products.
You will contribute to strategic projects at the interface between scientific research, technological innovation, and industrialisation.

Design and develop innovative metallic materials that bring new functionalities or aesthetics to watchmaking products.

Develop and refine these materials using available internal resources or in collaboration with academic and industrial partners.

Carry out analyses, characterisations, and evaluations necessary to validate the performance of the developed solutions.

Design demonstrators and prototypes to test new technologies under real usage conditions.

Anticipate industrial constraints and support the transfer of developments to production.

Ensure scientific and technological monitoring to identify innovation opportunities arising from emerging research.

Provide technical and scientific support to teams involved in related projects.

Capitalize on acquired knowledge and ensure its transmission through technical reports, presentations, and exchanges with various stakeholders.
Your profile

Swiss Degree (ETH Master, university or equivalent training) in Materials Science, Metallurgy or a similar field.

Experience in the development and refinement of new materials.

Strong knowledge of physical metallurgy and materials characterisation.

Marked interest in applied research, innovation, and the development of concrete solutions.

Entrepreneurial spirit and ability to transform innovative concepts into industrial achievements.

High autonomy in project management, combined with a rigorous scientific approach.

Intellectual curiosity, creativity, and a taste for experimentation.

Excellent analytical, synthesis, and communication skills.

Aptitude to work in a multidisciplinary environment and collaborate with internal and external partners.
